THE PROCESS

What to expect

details may vary depending on your needs but this is a general idea of what to expect

1. DISCOVER

We start with a consultation and discuss the details of the project, timelines, budget, and expectations to see if we're the right fit. I offer a free 20 minute consult for all clients.

2. DEFINE

This is where we set forth the scope of the project. We decide on the number of pages, any specific functionality, etc. A 50% deposit is required to get started.

3. DESIGN

Here we work together to create the visual identity that will best attract the audience you're targeting and appealing to. You'll receive a questionnaire that will help both you and me figure out the look & feel of your website and also provide a framework for your website content.

4. DEVELOP

After you've finished the questionnaire and sent me your content and assets, you get to sit back and relax while I make your vision come to life.

5. DETAILS

Each project will have a set number of revision cycles. Feedback is expected within 3 days to ensure your project stays on track. Generally, the first revision cycle is used to ensure that we're on the same page in terms of style and structure and the final revision cycle will be used to refine the entire site.

6. DEPLOY

Once you are happy with your site, given your final approval, and paid the remainder of your invoice, the site will be launched and it will be fully yours!

You'll be provided training on how to operate & update your site. Optionally you can hire me to do your updates for you.

The process
Content

CONTENT

You will be responsible for providing all content. Basic website content will be provided by you within the first quarter of the project. This won’t be final so don’t be pressured to have everything perfect! It’s simply needed for structure and design purposes as content can be the biggest roadblock when trying to stay on a timeline.

Revisions

REVISIONS

During your project, you will have a specified number of revision cycles. You will be able to view the site at certain points to provide feedback and approval. It's expected this is done in a timely manner so that we can stay on track.

This is done before the site reaches completion so that we make sure we're on the same page and you're happy with the progress. Once the site is at completion and all revisions from the first round have been made, the second round of revisions will begin.

Revisions can include everything from site layout, placement of certain images or text, font, colour or theme changes, etc. If major changes are requested such as additional pages or functionality that were not in the original proposal, a separate estimate for any additional weeks can be provided!

Note: All changes will be sent in ONE email so make sure to be thorough and write everything down before sending! There's no limit to how extensive these lists can be but you will only get to do this a set number of times based on what's agreed on.

PAYMENT

Once the proposal is agreed upon, a deposit of 50% will be issued. Upon final completion of the project, the last 50% of payment will be issued and your site will be launched once it's received!
